Reviews
The food was amazing. I would have liked it even more if the Tonkasu was less stiff. The service was also above expectations. I was greeted by kind waiters anf they made sure I was well taken care of.
We went here on a whim and it did not disappoint! The waitress was lovely and made two recommendations which we went with, and LOVED. I only wish I would remember to go here more often. If you're looking for good authentic Japanese Raman, you've found it here!
I lived in Tokyo for 2 years and have been searching for a place to fulfill my cravings. I have finally found it!! This place is amazing!! The Ramen put me right back in Japan. Also, the service was great and our waitress was so sweet!
Kyoto Kitchen, located in an unassuming converted house with a beautiful Japanese garden out front, offers melt-in-your mouth fresh fish, katsu, and sushi rolls! We walked in on a weekday during lunch after going to see the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. 1) Service (+): Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The restaurant takes reservations and offers walk-in. 2) Ambience (+): I love the authentic and cozy vibe of the restaurant, which reminds of the restaurants I went to in Japan. 3) Food (+): All the fish here is very fresh and melt-in-your mouth! We ordered a variety of maki- including tuna and salmon rolls. I also love the Japanese fried chicken, which comes with a honey mustard sauce. The tonkatsu is also deliciously crispy and well-flavored. 4) Alcohol/Drinks (+): Although I did not drink, there is an assortment of sake, wine, and beer on the menu. 5) Value for Money (+): I would say this is a great Japanese place in terms of value for money! So delicious and affordable, with maki rolls around $10 each and larger entrees that come with salad and rice for $15-20.
Closed December 22nd, 2023 a fantastic fabulous restaurant is gone. They really had their own flair and were memorable, which is so rare.
